Provide a short summary of why you should be selected by the community as a Digital Experience MVP
I've been working in the greater CMS/DXP world for over 14 years now. I actively share knowledge and encourage growth by speaking at national conferences, writing on my own tech blog, and hosting the Kontent Rocks podcast. At BizStream, I lead projects that showcase creative digital solutions for our clients. My goal is to engage more people and promote good practices in our industry. I'm honored to be recognized as a Microsoft Azure MVP, Kontent.ai MVP, and Kentico MVP. Being named a Digital Experience MVP would highlight and support my ongoing efforts in the tech community.
Contributions you have made in the Digital Experience (DX) community online and in-person (i.e., blog posts, podcasts, webinars, encouraged others to join)?
Contributions I have made to the DX space on-line and in-person: • I blog about content management, digital, and cloud topics at https://www.mcbeev.com/. • I host a podcast about Kontent.ai, .NET, and Azure at https://www.youtube.com/c/kontentrocks. • In the last 12 months, I've spoken at 9 conferences all across the US (full history at https://www.mcbeev.com/speaking). My talks range multiple topics from AI, the future of our work in the DX industry, Azure, Headless CMS best practices, Static website creation, next generation Search experiences, and other topics. • I have the DX discord server up daily and enjoy reading the conversations that happen with the DX community. • I actively engage with social media around the community on X/Twitter and LinkedIn, there I often tell other platform vendors that they should join the DX community and invite them to it. • I am the organizer of the West Michigan Azure User Group, a monthly meetup on sharing the use and knowledge of Azure. • I am on the board of SoftwareGR.org and The West Michigan Technology Council (goal of both organizations is to spread the user of tech and community in Michigan).
What encouraging words would you like to share with those new to the community and perhaps new in their career?
Technology and business needs change every single day, so always keep learning. Being curious and willing to share your own knowledge is one of the most important aspects of being in a community like this.
